The Boston University Kung Fu Club (BUKFC) offers students the opportunity to explore a collection of Chinese martial arts. The club is both instructional and recreational in nature. The BUKFC instructs students of any experience level ranging from novice to expert. Experienced martial artists engage in training while beginners learn basic skills and techniques. The club mainly focuses on traditional Chinese training with very limited contemporary equipment. While the training environment offers teaching and a relaxed environment, members will engage in rigorous exercise.
The BUKFC hosts demonstrations at the Student Activities Expo and at numerous Asian performance festivals. The club’s instructors are Pete Kreitchet and Narbe, who have been with the club for the past two decades. The club meets three times a week during the fall and spring semesters.
Any students interested in joining the team should attend a practice or contact a Club Officer for more information.
