Membership Options

• Individual memberships are available. Your Terrier Picture ID card will provide you with facility access.
• NEW: Boston University's Blue Cross Blue Shield health care options include an annual fitness benefit that provides $150 toward the cost of your membership for 2008. To request your letter of membership for reimbursement, send an email to fitrec@bu.edu.
  • Monthly Members: You can request your letter of membership beginning in April 2008, once you have met the time (4 months of membership) and cost (paid $150 toward club membership in 2008) requirements.
  • Annual or Six Month Members: You will automatically be mailed your letter of membership in April 2008. You will be able to apply for the reimbursement as of May 1st once you have met the time (4 months of membership) and cost (paid $150 toward club membership in 2008) requirements.
• Payroll deduction is available for monthly memberships. Currently there are no state or federal tax benefits if you elect this option, however, payroll deduction is both a safe and convenient option.
• The following BU affiliations are eligible for Faculty/Staff membership: Emerita Professor, Emeritus Professor, Retired Employee, Trustee, Visiting Scholar/Research Fellow, Military Science, and Fraunhofer.
• Memberships can be purchased for spouses and dependents (18 & under). Primary affiliate must be a member for family to join.
• Spouses will be provided with Terrier Picture ID Card on their first visit to the FitRec Center for facility access. Must also sign informed consent.
• TO REGISTER: In order to purchase a membership, you must have your login name and kerberos password.  Please contact Information Technology at 617-353-2780 if you are having problems with your login.
