"The Perfect Relationship: A Dance Concert of Duets" tells the story of an evolving relationship between a man and a woman: from the innocence of their first joyous if unreal love, through disappointment and disconnection. Out of this disillusionment springs the beginning of true trust, and the intersection of sexuality and spirituality, ultimately giving birth to their creation of a purposeful loving union.

The concert is an evening length work consisting of six pieces, each with its own distinctive style and mood. The pieces, with live music, weave together to form a continuing story. The music ranges from original commissioned instrumental works, to blues and Indian music, much of it performed live by a group of musicians including guitarists, bass, violin, flute, clarinet, saxaphone, and vocalists.

Through their signature blend of live music, theater & circus arts, Mischief in the Machine tells a tale of the re-emergence of hope in a dilapidated world where everyday life has been crushed under an oppressive regime of silence. The story follows a haphazard hero who uses playfulness and absurdity to rally a misfit resistance.

Mischief in the Machine is an adult theatrical-style circus performance, which includes acrobatics, aerial performance, dance, and an all-original musical score composed and performed by Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band.

Due to mature themes and imagery, Mischief in the Machine is recommended for ages 16+.

Formed from the most talented deadbeats and drifters that could be rounded up, this group of raucous and rambunctious musicians will honk, wail, blow, beat, bounce, scream and serenade their way into your hearts.

Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band combines the rich musical history of the circus and the vagabond peoples of Europe with the raw energy of avant-garde jazz and the irreverence and fun of today's Vaudeville for a sound that is somehow familiar yet like no other.
