What does BUEMS do?

BUEMS provides each on-campus athletic facility and many Boston University events with Emergency Medical and First Aid coverage staffed by certified Emergency Medical Technicians trained to respond to every type of medical emergency. These EMTs are an important part of the Emergency Response Plan in the new Fitness and Recreation Center which features Public Access Defibrillation and two state-of-the-art First Aid Treatment stations. This makes our facilities some of the safest of their kind. First Aid coverage can also be arranged for any department or student group event on and off campus. BUEMS already provides EMS coverage for events such as Commencement and Homecoming.
