Why register for Personal Training @ BU's Fitness Center?

  • To receive proper instruction right from the start.
  • To have a workout program developed in accordance with your own personal fitness goals.
  • To prepare you for an event/sport and help you achieve more accurate results.

Our personal trainers will provide you with the information and instruction you need to reach your health and fitness goals. You can meet one-on-one or in a group with a certified trainer who will design a personalized fitness plan just for you. In addition, we will review your progress and level of satisfaction, and then make appropriate adjustments to help you achieve the results you want.

To schedule your initial Personal Training Session:

  1. Complete the Interest Form, Medical History Form & PT Policies Form and return or fax them to the Fitness Department at (617) 358-3747.
  2. Register and pay for package online or in person at the PERD office at the FitRec Center Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
  3. Schedule your sessions by calling the Personal Training Assistant Annie Dulong at (617) 358-3760 or e-mailing fitness@bu.edu.

Personal Training Packages

Professional Personal Training Sessions

Fees: 1 session $45; 5 sessions $185, 10 sessions $310

Participants receive one-on-one fitness instruction under the supervision of a certified personal trainer. To schedule an appointment, contact Fitness at fitness@bu.edu.

Fitness Assessments

Fitness Evaluations for BU Faculty/Staff 

Fee: $50

A physician (present for females over 50 and males over 40), exercise physiologist, nutritionist and personal trainer will assess your fitness level by testing your cardiovascular health and analyzing your nutritional, strength and fitness status to help you develop a plan to achieve your personal health goals.

Basic Fitness Evaluation

Fee: $45

An evaluation session that includes assessments for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition and flexibility.

Fitness Evaluations and Program Design

Fee: $75

A comprehensive evaluation session that includes assessments for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, flexibility and program design. To schedule an appointment, contact Fitness at fitness@bu.edu.

Fitness Evaluation, Program Design and One Session

Fee: $105

Includes a basic fitness assessment, a consultation of results and one personal training session.

Body Fat Testing

Fee: $15

Skin fold calipers are used to measure percentage of body fat. Participants should come dressed in t-shirts and shorts. To schedule an appointment, contact Fitness at fitness@bu.edu.
